Multistack modular and oil-free magnetic-bearing chiller systems.
Overview
Multistack pioneered modular chillers — banks of individual modules that let you service one module while the plant keeps running. We maintain both the modular scroll ranges and the magnetic-bearing MagLev systems used in Gauteng hospitals, universities and data centres.

Troubleshooting
Tap a fault for likely causes, what to check on site, and when to call us out.
Likely causes
What to check
Check the master controller module status page and confirm valve positions on the header.
When to call us
Call us if a module keeps dropping out — running short-handed shortens the life of the remaining modules.
Likely causes
What to check
Measure flow or differential pressure module by module and compare.
When to call us
Book a hydraulic balance — uneven flow shows up as nuisance low-pressure trips on individual modules.
Likely causes
What to check
Trend module kW against load and compare modules against each other.
When to call us
We can re-tune the staging and reset strategy on site — usually the fastest efficiency win on a modular plant.
Parts & Spares
Modular design means individual modules can often be swapped or bypassed quickly. Scroll compressors and controllers are 1 – 3 weeks; MagLev compressor modules are import items at 4 – 10 weeks.

FAQ
A routine Multistack service starts around R4 500 – R9 500 per unit depending on tonnage, compressor count and site access. Repairs are quoted separately after diagnosis. Send us the nameplate photos through the quote form and we come back with a fixed price within 24 hours.
Yes — we source OEM parts through South African distributors wherever the part is still catalogued. Where a component is obsolete or on long lead time, we offer a tested equivalent and tell you up front which route we are taking and what it does to the warranty.
Absolutely. Most of the Multistack plant we look after in Gauteng is well past its warranty period. We service, rebuild and re-commission older units rather than pushing you straight into a replacement.
We work with the unit controller and integrate it with BACnet, Modbus or your existing BMS head-end. That includes alarm mapping, trending, setpoint scheduling and getting fault history off the panel so we can see what actually tripped.
Same-day across Johannesburg, Pretoria, the East Rand, West Rand and the Vaal Triangle. Mpumalanga, North West, Free State and Limpopo are typically next-day, sooner for critical plant.
Yes — quarterly or bi-annual planned maintenance with logged readings, refrigerant records, water-side checks and a written condition report each visit. Contract clients get priority breakdown response.
